Paintball tournament is a very exciting action game that need lots of preparation before you are able to participate in it. Make sure that you read these tips before you proceed with participating in paintball tournament.

Get your equipment ready – your equipment is your gear in action, you need to buy the best equipment that you can afford. Playing in tournament requires certain level of equipment, for example, you need to have electronic operated marker and electronic feeding hopper. Also the marker should be working with compressed air because in most tournaments CO2 is not accepted. Do not go for the expensive gadgets because from time to time you will need to upgrade your equipment and if you purchase expensive equipment every time then paintball will end up very expensive for you.

Training and drills – before you even think about paying the fees for a tournament, you should receive a lot of training. Try to participate in different drills of the local team in your area, train at home and watch lots of videos for famous players and try to learn from their techniques. Do not expect that teams will welcome you easily but after you train a little, they will start changing their minds.

Participating in a team – participation can be an invitation from a team to join or admission application you fill to get accepted in a certain team. If you can provide a sponsor for the team then they will accept you very quickly.

Treat field supervisors and refs calmly because their first intention is your safety and the welfare of the game. They are fair and they are doing their best to run the tournament so, try to make their lives easier. Refs will help you while you are on the game, they will also help you to get out of the field when you are shot.

Learning advanced techniques: it is very important to master different performance skills like diving or shooting from a rolling position or what is called a snap shooting. You will need such skills in any given paintball tournament. Develop such skills and you will be invited to more teams and tournaments to participate.

Your security is number one on any paintball tournament so; make sure that you are wearing your safety goggles and mask, your elbow and knee pads and cleats. Before you buy your accessories, check with the tournament organizer about the allowed equipment.
